Palo Pinto County Clerk is accepting applications for a Deputy County Clerk.


Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check. High school graduate with office skills and bookkeeping knowledge required. Applicant must be DETAILED ORIENTED, strong computer skills and have the ability to MULTI-TASK in a fast-paced environment. Experience and/or Bilingual a plus.

CHIEF JUVENILE PROBATION OFFICER
SALARY:            
NEGOTIABLE WITHIN THE RANGE OF $60,000 -  $64,300 WITH FULL COUNTY BENEFITS

JOB SUMMARY:
Directs staff and manages daily operation of the Juvenile Department to ensure effective and efficient compliance with state standards and established policies and procedures.  Oversees planning, creation and operation of programs and services and ensures adherence to policies and objectives of the department. Provides leadership, guidance and support in the fulfillment of the department’s purpose and mission. Serves at the will of the Juvenile Board.

PREFERENCES:
Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field approved by the State of Texas or 10 years’ experience in a related field. Currently certified by TJJD as a Juvenile Probation Officer in good standing.

REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of three years’ job experience, in supervisory capacity, in juvenile justice. Must possess strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with the public and the media, community leaders, federal, state and county elected and appointed officials, law enforcement and school personnel.  Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Palo Pinto County. Must be On-call 24 hours per day, every day and possess above average management, supervisory, and budgetary skills.
